About Greg
Hi! I'm Greg, and I Have an Obsession
I love PEOPLE! Throughout my life, helping people improve their overall situation has been my passion. I graduated from SUNY Albany in 2004 with a degree in Fine Art and a focus in sculpture. I minored in Art History, with a focus in architecture. My favorite studies ranged from Roman Architecture, to Arts in the Courts of 17th Century Europe.
I moved to Baltimore, MD in 2006, and began my career in the mortgage industry, with my focus being VA Loans, working with active duty military and United States veterans. During this time, I began studying Martial Arts as a hobby to keep myself balanced, mentally and physically, beginning with Karate in 2008, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu soon after. In 2012, I purchased my home, with my wife, Dawn. The process of searching for a home was new and exciting to me. We were so happy with the first house we visited, but thought it was too good to be true. After looking at two more houses, we knew the first one was THE ONE, and I want to bring the same feeling to you! In 2014, I took my passion of helping others to form Grapple Academy Martial Arts, LLC, in Perry Hall. I have been teaching and competing in martial arts for over a decade now, with students ranging from the age of 3 to 70's. Being a part of each person's self-improvement has been the most rewarding aspect of my life. In 2018, YogaMore Perry Hall was formed to further serve my local community, with the help of my good friend an student, Candice Covahey RYT200. I have always been drawn into the Real Estate Industry. Growing up, my father owned a custom furniture business and I watched him develop long lasting relationships over the years with his customers. I also had the pleasure of watching him design entire rooms and then seeing the design come to life in each person's house. It made sense because design ran in the family. His father was a furniture maker, and his sister, an interior designer. He is now semi-retired, and a part time real estate agent in southern Florida. My mother was a real estate agent in NY, and I remember being excited seeing her listings published in the local paper. I have one brother, who is a mortgage processor in Scottsdale, AZ. Being in the industry was a no-brainer, although I don't consider this the industry of selling houses. It's the industry of helping people. I chose to work with the Chris Drewer Team after meeting Chris a few years back. Chris Drewer is not only a sponsor of the Grapple Academy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Competition Team, he has also helped my students purchase their first home. His credentials are top notch! He has been in the industry for over 15 years, and currently, he is the President of the Harford County Association of REALTORS®! With Chris by my side, we are unstoppable! I am really excited to help you! |
When I'm not helping my real estate clients, you can find me around town teaching self defense seminars, competing in jiu-jitsu, coaching my team, or teaching kids and adults both Karate and BJJ.
